What is the degradable PLA raw material?
PLA is a new type of bio based and renewable biodegradable material, which is made of starch from renewable plant resources (such as corn, cassava, etc.). The raw material of starch is saccharified to obtain glucose, and then glucose and certain strains are fermented to produce high-purity lactic acid, and then polylactic acid with certain molecular weight is synthesized by chemical synthesis method.

PLA has good biodegradability. After use, it can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature under specific conditions, and eventually generate carbon dioxide and water, which does not pollute the environment. It is very beneficial to protect the environment and is recognized as an environmentally friendly material.

PLA has good thermal stability, processing temperature 170 ~ 230 ℃, and good solvent resistance. The coated paper cup and cup cover made of polylactic acid have good biocompatibility, gloss, transparency, handle and heat resistance, as well as certain bacterial resistance, flame retardancy and UV resistance.
